Borussia Dortmund hammer Hamburg

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Robert Lewandowski score a brace each as Borussia Dortmund beat Hamburg 6-2 at home in the Bundesliga.

Borussia Dortmund have registered a comfortable 6-2 victory over Hamburg at home in the Bundesliga.

Jurgen Klopp's side were in control of the match right from the start and surged ahead in the 19th minute through Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who shot home from the left side of the box.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan doubled BVB's advantage just three minutes later from close range after latching onto Robert Lewandowski's pass.

However, Hamburg halved the deficit just minutes later through Lam Zhi Gin and equalised in the 49th minute when Heiko Westermann headed home Rafael van der Vaart's delivery.

Thereafter, though, it was all Dortmund as last season's Champions League finalists made it 3-2 through Aubameyang on 65 minutes and then 4-2 in the 73rd minute when Lewandowski fired home from close range.

Marco Reus added his name to the scoresheet just seconds later and Lewandowski completed the scoring nine minutes from time with a header from Nuri Sahin's cross.
