Borussia Dortmund are reportedly set to announce the signing of Hoffenheim striker Maximilian Beier.
The 21-year-old was one of the standout forwards in the German top flight last season, scoring 16 goals and providing one assist from 33 Bundesliga appearances.
Due to his stellar performances on the club scene, Beier was rewarded with a place in Germany's squad for Euro 2024, with Julian Nagelsmann's side gunning for continental glory at their home tournament.
Firmly behind the likes of Kai Havertz and Niclas Fullkrug in the pecking order, the Hoffenheim marksman only featured for 25 minutes in the competition as Die Mannschaft exited at the quarter-final stage to eventual winners Spain.
A product of the German club's youth academy, Beier has made a total of 72 first-team appearances for Hoffenheim since his debut in 2019, finding the net on 28 occasions.
According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, a deal is now in place between Hoffenheim and Dortmund for the transfer of Beier to Signal Iduna Park.
The report claims that a fee of around €30m (£25.6m) has been agreed, with personal terms sorted between the buying club and the forward last week.
It is understood that Beier will put pen to paper on a bumper five-year deal at Dortmund, keeping him contracted to the Champions League finalists until the summer of 2029.
Should all go swimmingly with his medical this week, the two-time international will become Dortmund's fifth first-team arrival of the summer window.

Ipswich 'on verge' of Szmodics capture
Focusing on a transfer that could have massive ramifications on the Premier League and the Championship, Ipswich Town are supposedly moving closer to the signing of Blackburn Rovers star Sammie Szmodics.
Following two seasons in the shadow of Ben Brereton Diaz at Ewood Park, the Irishman stepped into the spotlight during the 2023-24 campaign, netting 33 goals in all competitions for the Lancashire outfit.
An eye-watering 27 of those strikes arrived during 44 Championship fixtures, meaning that Szmodics won the second tier's Golden Boot ahead of Southampton marksman Adam Armstrong.
Since making the switch from Peterborough United to Blackburn during the summer window of 2022, the attacker has scored 41 goals in 90 matches.
After such an impressive 12 months, Szmodics is edging towards a move to Premier League newcomers Ipswich, as per The Sun.
It is believed that the Tractor Boys are willing to offer £8.5m for the services of the 28-year-old, who has expressed his desire to play in the top flight.
With Blackburn valuing Szmodics at £9m, the two clubs are very close to a breakthrough in negotiations for the sale of the four-time international.

Brentford set to sign Napoli midfielder?
Remaining in the Premier League, Brentford are preparing to finalise the capture of Napoli midfielder Jens Cajuste, according to Football Insider.
The 25-year-old is set to undergo a medical with the West London club ahead of a season-long loan from the 2022-23 Serie A winners, who failed to retain their crown last term, finishing 10th.
A temporary switch to the Gtech Community Stadium will turn into a permanent one next summer, with Brentford supposedly having an obligation to buy Cajuste for £10m.
The midfielder featured in 26 Serie A matches for Napoli last season but failed to cement his spot in the first XI, starting just 11 league contests.
A product of the FC Midtjylland academy in Denmark, Cajuste has been on the radar of Bees boss Thomas Frank for an extended period of time.
Brentford have already announced the signing of Igor Thiago this summer, whilst a deal for Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho is drawing to a close.
