Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola has revealed that USA international Tyler Adams has suffered an injury setback.
After joining Bournemouth from Leeds United in August, Adams was forced to wait for his Cherries debut due to a hamstring injury, which had kept him out of action since March 11.
Adams appeared to step up his return to full fitness in midweek when he came off the bench to make his Bournemouth debut in a 2-0 EFL Cup win over Stoke City.
Despite making a 21-minute cameo in Wednesday's cup win, Adams was omitted from the squad for Saturday's 4-0 Premier League defeat to Arsenal.

Speaking after the disappointing result, Iraola confirmed that the midfielder is set for another spell on the sidelines.
"I don't know what to call it, a setback, but he is not feeling well," Iraola told the Bournemouth Echo.
"He has been out for a lot of time, so we have to reassess, to reset, to take the good decisions, thinking in everything. It is true that he is going to be out for some time, for sure.
"I think it's the same area. I couldn't tell you if it's exactly the same point, but it's true that it's his hamstring that he is not feeling well."

Adams, who joined Leeds from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2022, started 24 Premier League fixtures for the Yorkshire club before suffering a hamstring injury in March.
The 24-year-old subsequently missed the remainder of Leeds's relegation battle, which ultimately ended in disappointment as they finished in 19th position.
News of the American's setback will come as a blow to Bournemouth, who are already without a number of players due to injury.
Defenders Lloyd Kelly, Chris Mepham and Ryan Fredericks are currently in the treatment room, and they are joined on the sidelines by Emiliano Marcondes and Alex Scott.
Having failed to win any of their opening seven Premier League matches (D3, L4), the Cherries are currently in the relegation zone with a point separating them from safety.
