Saturday's Premier League predictions including Tottenham vs. Liverpool

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Premier League fixtures, including Tottenham Hotspur vs. Liverpool.

Aston Villa vs. Brighton (Saturday, 12.30pm)

After crashing out of the EFL Cup third round in midweek, Aston Villa and Brighton & Hove Albion will endeavour to return to winning ways when they do battle at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

While the Lions were beaten 2-1 at home to Everton on Wednesday, the Seagulls suffered a slender 1-0 defeat at Chelsea on the same day.

We say: Aston Villa 2-2 Brighton & Hove Albion

A closely-fought contest between two evenly-matches sides could be in store on Saturday, with one of the Premier League's in-form teams in Brighton ready to test their mettle against an Aston Villa outfit who boast a strong home record in the top flight.

Both teams can expect to have plenty of chances in the final third, but with little to separate these two clubs, an entertaining score draw may be on the cards this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Bournemouth vs. Arsenal (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fresh from booking their spots in the fourth round of the EFL Cup, Bournemouth and Arsenal return to Premier League action with a showdown at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Cherries put two unanswered goals past Stoke City on Wednesday night, while Mikel Arteta's men held out for a nervy 1-0 triumph over London rivals Brentford.

We say: Bournemouth 0-2 Arsenal

Even though Arsenal have not set the world alight on the attacking front this season, the Gunners have shown admirable resilience in the face of adversity away from home, and their lengthy injury list is not such a cause for concern any more given their increased squad depth.

Meanwhile, a Bournemouth side who have already struggled for goals on home soil seem set to make do without their main focal point in Solanke, and as such, Arteta's men should travel back to North London with another three points and clean sheet in the bag.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Everton vs. Luton (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two teams tipped to battle at the wrong end of the Premier League table will lock horns at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon when Everton play host to Luton Town.

The Toffees and the Hatters experienced contrasting results in the EFL Cup third round in midweek, with the former coming out on top against Aston Villa and the latter losing to third-tier side Exeter City.

We say: Everton 2-1 Luton Town

While Saturday's game cannot be considered a must-win at this early stage in the season, both teams will be aware of the importance of claiming maximum points in their quest to boost morale and climb the table.

Everton's poor home record bodes well for a Luton side who are desperate to claim their first Premier League win, but we believe the Goodison Park faithful will roar the Toffees to a slender victory.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Man Utd vs. Crystal Palace (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Fresh from their EFL Cup third-round meeting on Tuesday, Manchester United and Crystal Palace renew acquaintances at Old Trafford for a Premier League fixture on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils secured a comprehensive 3-0 win over the Eagles last time out, and they are now seeking to end the month on a high by claiming their third successive victory in all competitions.

We say: Manchester United 2-0 Crystal Palace

Hodgson has experience of guiding Palace to multiple positive results at Old Trafford over the years, but success on Saturday will be a tall order if they fail to rectify their recent struggles in front of goal.

The onus is on Man United to follow up Tuesday's dominant showing with a similar performance this weekend. Anything but a victory here would feel like one step forward and two steps back for the Red Devils, but with Ten Hag expected to name a stronger side, we can see the hosts claiming all three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Newcastle vs. Burnley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Having defied expectations during a magnificent week of Premier League and EFL Cup football, Newcastle United will look to prolong the feel-good factor when Burnley visit St James' Park on Saturday afternoon.

Both teams booked a place in the fourth round of the EFL Cup in midweek, as the Magpies stunned Manchester City 1-0, while the Clarets put four past Salford City without reply.

We say: Newcastle United 3-0 Burnley

Burnley may have had an extra day to recover from their successful EFL Cup exertions, and the Clarets' recent run of road results is admirable, but their resistance ought to be swiftly broken at St James' Park.

Scintillating attacking showings akin to their Sheffield United drubbing have been hard to come by for Newcastle on a consistent basis this term, but Howe's men have rediscovered their defensive guile and should not have to jump through too many hoops to put another three points on the board this weekend.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

West Ham vs. Sheff Utd (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Still searching for their maiden Premier League triumph heading into gameweek seven, Sheffield United make the trip to the London Stadium to meet West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

The Irons overcame Lincoln City 1-0 in Wednesday's EFL Cup third-round affair, while the Blades were outfought, outclassed and utterly humiliated in an 8-0 defeat against Newcastle United last time out.

We say: West Ham United 3-0 Sheffield United

Newcastle's eight-goal extravaganza should prove to just be a one-off for Sheffield United, but the Blades' injury-depleted side should still experience little joy at the London Stadium, where West Ham's refreshed big-hitters can subject them to another forgettable afternoon.

Uncertainty over the manager's future will do the visitors no favours either, and the Irons will be expected to teach their cellar-dwelling foes another footballing lesson, thereby plunging Heckingbottom's job into further jeopardy.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Wolves vs. Man City (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two Premier League teams seeking to swiftly move on from their midweek EFL Cup exits will face off at Molineux on Saturday as Wolverhampton Wanderers play host to Manchester City.

While Gary O'Neil's side were beaten 3-2 away against Championship club Ipswich Town on Tuesday, Pep Guardiola's men suffered a slender 1-0 loss at Newcastle United on Wednesday.

We say: Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-4 Manchester City

Man City tend to respond well from minor setbacks and they will be considered as strong favourites to bounce back with a victory against an out-of-sorts Wolves outfit this weekend.

The hosts will fancy their chances of finding the net having scored in each of their last nine league games at Molineux, but Guardiola's side should have few problems outscoring their opponents en route to a comfortable win in the West Midlands.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Spurs vs. Liverpool (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool will put their unbeaten Premier League streaks on the line when they square off in Saturday evening's headline battle in North London.

The Lilywhites took a point away from the Emirates in a 2-2 draw with bitter adversaries Arsenal last weekend, while the Reds most recently overcame Leicester City 3-1 in the EFL Cup.

We say: Tottenham Hotspur 2-2 Liverpool

A tie that should almost certainly live up to the billing, both Spurs and Liverpool have recently made up for defensive shortcomings with a glut of goals at the correct end of the field - especially when conceding the opener - and Saturday's highly-anticipated encounter should be no different.

Maddison's fitness will be imperative to Spurs' chances of success in the capital, but Klopp's side are proving an incredibly tough nut to crack once again, and we can envisage Postecoglou overseeing a second four-goal draw in succession as both sides walk away with their unbeaten records still intact.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
