Eddie Howe proud of Bournemouth display

Eddie Howe reveals his pride after Bournemouth secure a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Dean Court.

Eddie Howe has revealed his pride after watching Bournemouth claim a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Dean Court.

Junior Stanislas handed the Cherries an early lead before Marouane Fellaini hit back for the visitors, but Joshua King fired home the winner to clinch the points.

Howe was quick to pay tribute to his players for sticking to their approach despite being put under pressure for spells either side of the interval.

"I am very proud of the players. When you play the top teams you need every aspect of your game to be good and I felt they were," the Bournemouth boss, whose side were victorious against Chelsea a week ago, told Sky Sports.

"The pleasing thing today was when we got pegged back, it didn't affect us. It helps when you have beaten a top side, you known you can do it again. This run for me started at Swansea, we have been building momentum.

"I don't think we will have many better weeks than this one."

Bournemouth are now three points clear of the relegation zone.
