Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe upbeat despite draw with Ipswich Town

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe insists that his side put in one of their best performances of the season against Ipswichm despite seeing them pegged back twice to draw 2-2.

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has remained upbeat despite seeing his side pegged back twice to draw 2-2 with Ipswich Town.

The Cherries squandered two leads at Dean Court on Saturday as Ipswich dug in to claim a point in the Championship encounter.

While admitting that his team lacked a clinical edge in front of goal, Howe believes that they put in one of their best displays of the season so far.

"We made a great start. We looked in great form and like we would carry on our good run," he told BBC Sport.

"I couldn't be more pleased with the team and I think the only thing that was missing was the goals. I think it was one of our very best performances of the season."

Bournemouth continue their bid for promotion next Saturday when they host Millwall.
