Team News: Albert Adomah makes Middlesbrough bench for table-topping clash with Bournemouth

Middlesbrough midfielder Albert Adomah is forced to settle for a place on the bench as his side prepare to face Championship leaders Bournemouth at the Riverside Stadium.

Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has had to hand key midfielder Albert Adomah a place on the bench for his side's table-topping clash with Bournemouth in the Championship this afternoon, with the winger recently suffering from a virus.

The home side will instead feature a midfield made up of Adam Reach, Yanic Wildschut, Adam Clayton and Grant Leadbitter, who will provide support to a front pairing of Patrick Bamford and Lee Tomlin.

This afternoon's visitors to the Riverside have retained the place of defender Tommy Elphick, who has recovered from a knock in time to travel, while the in-form Calum Wilson partners with Yann Kermorgant up top.

Championship Manger of the Month Eddie Howe has also kept the services of Andrew Surman and Marc Pugh as part of an unchanged four-man midfield.

Middlesbrough: Dimi; Fredericks, Ayala, Gibson, Friend, Reach, Leadbitter, Clayton, Wildschut, Tomlin, Bamford

Bournemouth: Boruc; Francis, Cook, Elphick, Daniels, Pugh, Arter, Surman, Ritchie, Wilson, Kermorgant.
