Bournemouth 'ready to sell Benik Afobe'

Bournemouth are reportedly open to selling forward Benik Afobe during the January transfer window.

Bournemouth have reportedly decided that they are open to offers for forward Benik Afobe during the January transfer window.

Manager Eddie Howe has publicly insisted that the Cherries are not currently active in the market due to the current inflated prices, but it appears that could change before the end of the month.

According to The Sun, Howe would not stand in the way of Afobe leaving the Vitality Stadium if a club is prepared to meet his asking price of £10m.

That is the figure which the Cherries paid Wolverhampton Wanderers at the start of 2016, but the 24-year-old has failed to establish himself as a first-team regular on the south coast.

Just over half of Afobe's 63 appearances in the Premier League have come from the bench, while the former Arsenal man has not netted in the top flight during the current campaign.

Wolves and West Midlands rivals West Bromwich Albion are allegedly contemplating offers for the striker.
