Romario blasts Brazil team

Former Brazil attacker Romario launches a bitter attack on the current Selecao.

Former Brazil attacker Romario has launched a bitter attack on the current Selecao under boss Mano Menezes.

The 1994 World Cup winner also insisted that results have to improve if they are to progress into the latter stages of the 2014 World Cup.

"The current team is s**t, it would be tough even to get past the first round of the World Cup," Romario told reporters.

"Even the CBF president [Jose Maria Marin] has said that 2014's Brazil coach cannot be the same one as today's. There have to be results. We still have two years to prepare so that we don't suffer total humiliation."

Romario made 70 appearances for Brazil.
