Brentford square off against Preston North End in the Championship on Sunday afternoon having recorded four points from their last two fixtures.

Preston find themselves sitting just above the relegation zone after losing each of their two home fixtures since the beginning of the campaign.

We say: Brentford 2-0 Preston North End

Despite the extra workload brought on by their participation in the EFL Cup, we feel that it will only benefit Brentford over the long term. Although Preston will want to make things difficult for the Bees, we fancy the home side to come through this contest with minimal fuss.

Stoke City face West Midlands opposition for the second time in three days as they welcome Birmingham City to the bet365 Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues make the short trip to the Potteries having put together a three-match unbeaten streak in the Championship since the arrival of Aitor Karanka.

We say: Stoke City 1-0 Birmingham City

Has there ever been a game which will receive as many goalless predictions as this one? Probably not. However, we are going to back the home side to again prevail by the narrowest of scorelines, potentially ending Birmingham's resistance during the closing quarter.
