Albert Adomah scores after the half-hour mark to put Bristol City in the lead against Middlesbrough at the break.

Bristol City are 1-0 up against Middlesbrough at half time in their Championship encounter at Ashton Gate.

Marvin Elliott went for goal as early as the fifth minute with a shot from 35 yards, but failed to keep it on target.

Seven minutes later Neil Kilkenny took a shot but he was denied by Jason Steele between the Middlesbrough goal.

At the other end, Marvin Emnes tested Tom Heaton with a speculative effort from 25 yards. Steele was called into action again in the 25th minute when Steven Davies volleyed on target.

City eventually made the breakthrough on 32 minutes through Albert Adomah, who found the target from the edge of the area.
