Burnley boss Eddie Howe looks to loan market after losing Danny Ings to injury

Burnley boss Eddie Howe ponders loan move after a long-term injury is suffered by new signing Danny Ings.

Burnley manager Eddie Howe has revealed that he may be forced to bringing in some players on loan after new signing Danny Ings suffered a long-term injury in training.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Clarets last week from Bournemouth, could miss up to four months with a knee problem.

"We might look to add to it. We didn't plan to go back in, but unfortunately we might have to," Sky Sports News quotes Howe as saying. "We'll see what's available.

"We've got Alex Macdonald who came off the bench on Saturday. He's done really well in pre-season so I don't think we are desperate. We might just look who's available and see what we do."

Burnley face Barnet in a Carling Cup home tie tonight (Tuesday).
