Half-Time Report: Danny Mayor scores to give Bury slight lead over Wycombe Wanderers

Bury lead Wycome 1-0 at the break thanks to a lucky Danny Mayor goal.

Danny Mayor has scored in bizarre fashion to give Bury a slight 1-0 lead over Wycombe Wanderers at half time.

The Blues looked the more impressive out of the two teams and they got a deserved lead after a mix-up in the Wanderers box.

Ryan Lowe's shot was stopped on the line but Alfie Mawson was unable to clear with the ball getting stuck in the boggy turf, allowing Mayor to slide in and poke the ball home.

Wycombe had few opportunities to equalise and will be needing to create more chances after the break.
