League Two roundup: Oxford United climb out of relegation zone

Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's League Two action as Oxford United climb out of relegation zone with a 2-0 win over Tranmere Rovers.

Oxford United climbed out of the League Two relegation zone with a 2-0 win against fellow relegation strugglers Tranmere Rovers, who remain bottom.

Wycombe Wanderers pair Josh Scowen and Sam Wood scored second-half goals against AFC Wimbledon to help them stay top of the table with a 2-0 victory.

James Collins scored a late winner for Shrewsbury Town after Ryan Jarvis saw red for York City in Russ Wilcox's first game in charge.

Morecambe moved into the playoff places by beating high-flying Burton Albion 2-0 away from home. Danny Rose, Danny Mayor and Ryan Lowe helped Bury cruise past Portsmouth to leapfrog Burton into second place.

Three goals in the last 15 minutes saw Cheltenham Town edge out Northampton Town in a five-goal thriller.

Dagenham & Redbridge lost at home after conceding a 90th-minute winner to Newport County's Chris Zebroski.

Hartlepool United drop to 22nd in the table after they lost at home to Luton Town.

Lewis Alessandra's first-half goal was enough to see Plymouth Argyle pick up all three points against Carlisle United, while Chris Whelpdale scored his fifth goal of the season to help guide Stevenage to a 2-1 victory over Accrington Stanley.

A second-half Graham Cummins goal cancelled out David Worrall's opener as Southend and Exeter walk away with a point each, and Mansfield Town and Cambridge United also shared the spoils with a goalless draw at the One Call Stadium.
