Preview: Millwall vs. Cardiff City

Sports Mole looks ahead to the Championship match between Cardiff City and Millwall at The Den.

Millwall will be looking for their first league win since August when they host Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday lunchtime.

Ian Holloway's side are without a victory in their last eight outings, with half of those matches resulting in defeats for the Lions, leaving them 18th in the table.

Ricardo Fuller came into the starting lineup for the trip to Wigan Athletic earlier this week after scoring a brace last weekend, but was unable to continue his goal-scoring run at the DW Stadium.

Ed Upson could be in line for a bigger role at the weekend, having played almost half-an-hour in Tuesday's goalless draw in place of Martyn Woolford.

Meanwhile, Cardiff will head into the match following back-to-back wins in the Championship, which have moved them up to 10th in the table.

Russell Slade's arrival at the club appears to have boosted the team, as they followed up Saturday's win over Nottingham Forest with a 3-1 victory against Ipswich Town earlier this week.

The manager made just one change last time out, bringing Fabio back into the starting lineup after he missed last weekend's outing with illness, and with no new injuries, he has the option to stick with the same lineup.

Cardiff won both of their matches against Millwall during the 2013-13 season.
