Efe Ambrose starts in the Celtic defence against Juventus just hours after arriving back in the country from international duty.

Centre-back Efe Ambrose has been included in the Celtic starting lineup for tonight's Champions League tie against Juventus.

The defender had been expected to miss the match because he only returned to Scotland this morning from South Africa, where he had been competing at the Africa Cup of Nations.

However, he does start and will partner Kelvin Wilson in defence, while Gary Hooper has been given a lone striker's role.

Meanwhile, former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has been forced to settle for a place on the Juventus bench. Instead, Andrea Pirlo, Arturo Vidal and Claudio Marchisio will play in the centre of midfield.

Celtic: Forster; Lustig, Ambrose, Wilson, Izaguirre; Forrest, Wanyama, Brown, Mulgrew, Commons; Hooper

Juventus: Buffon; Barzagli, Bonucci, Caceres, Lichtsteiner; Vidal, Pirlo, Marchisio, Peluso; Matri, Vucinic
