Report: Celtic's Nadir Ciftci handed six-game ban for biting an opponent

A report claims that Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci has been handed an eight-game ban, with two of those suspended, for biting Dundee's Jim McAlister.

The Scottish Football Association has reportedly banned Celtic striker Nadir Ciftci for six matches due to excessive misconduct.

Ciftci, who joined the Bhoys from Dundee United earlier this month, was recently charged for biting an opponent.

According to Sky Sports News, the 23-year-old could now potentially miss as many as eight domestic games, with two of those currently suspended.

The incident, which saw Ciftci allegedly sink his teeth into Dundee's Jim McAlister, took place at the end of last season.
