Real Madrid injury, suspension news vs. Valencia: Thibaut Courtois, Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos updates

Sports Mole looks at Real Madrid's injury and suspension news ahead of their La Liga clash with Valencia.

Fresh from booking their spot in the Copa del Rey final, Real Madrid will resume their La Liga campaign with a home fixture against Valencia on Saturday afternoon.

Los Blancos drew 4-4 with Real Sociedad in the second leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final on Tuesday night, which saw them advance to the final of the competition courtesy of a 5-4 aggregate success.

Carlo Ancelotti's side were 3-2 winners over Leganes in Spain's top flight last weekend, meanwhile, and they are currently second in the La Liga table, three points behind the leaders Barcelona.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the team's injury and suspension news ahead of the clash with Valencia, who are 15th in the division, four points above 18th-placed Leganes.

Dani Carvajal

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid remain without the services of Carvajal due to the severe knee injury that the right-back suffered in the clash with Villarreal on October 5, but the Spaniard has made excellent progress in his recovery, and a return before the end of the season is possible.

Eder Militao

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Real Madrid centre-back Militao damaged his ACL during a La Liga clash with Osasuna back in November, but he is now back on the training field, and a return for the Club World Cup is thought to be a possibility.

Ferland Mendy

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 8 (vs. Arsenal)

Mendy was forced off in the latter stages of the Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid on March 12 due to a muscular issue, and the France international will again be on the sidelines for this match, but he could return against Arsenal.

Dani Ceballos

Status: Out
Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: April 8 (vs. Arsenal)

Ceballos remains on the sidelines with the muscular issue that he suffered in the latter stages of the recent Copa del Rey clash with Real Sociedad, but the Spaniard could be back against Arsenal in the Champions League.

Thibaut Courtois

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Muscle
Possible return date: April 5 (vs. Valencia)

Courtois was again unavailable against Real Sociedad due to a muscular problem that he sustained on international duty with Belgium, but there is a strong chance that the club's number one goalkeeper will return this weekend.

REAL MADRID'S SUSPENSION LIST

Real Madrid will not be missing any players through suspension against Valencia.
