Former Celtic defender Gary Caldwell has questioned whether it is the right time for Gary Hooper to leave the Scottish champions.
The striker has been linked with a move to Norwich City in January but Caldwell believes that the 24-year-old should stay in Glasgow to experience the Champions League fixtures against Juventus.
"If I was a player in Gary's position, then the Juventus games would be a huge pull to stay," the Wigan Athletic centre-back told Scotsman.com.
"To have that chance of playing Juventus home and away and get to a stage of the quarter-finals of the European Cup that no Scottish club has ever reached in modern times would be a big pull for any footballer.
"It will be a difficult dilemma should the club accept a bid and Gary has a decision to make."
Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes that Hooper will stay until at least the end of the season.
