Kieran Tierney signs new five-year contract at Celtic

Nineteen-year-old Kieran Tierney signs a new five-year contract at Celtic.

Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney has signed a new five-year contract at the Scottish club.

The 19-year-old has already impressed new manager Brendan Rodgers, who believes that he has the potential to become a "top player".

Tierney made his first-team debut against St Johnstone in the 2014-15 campaign and has gone on to flourish, having made 34 appearances in the following season.

The left-back is now expected to be an integral part of Rodgers's team as he has committed the next five years of his career to the Scottish champions.

Tierney was also named Scotland's Young Player of the Year at the end of last season.
