Victor Wanyama says that he will not consider leaving Celtic until the summer, amid speculation of interest from the Premier League.

Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has insisted that he will not be leaving the club on transfer deadline day, but is open to a move away in the summer.

The Kenyan international has impressed since moving to Celtic Park and has attracted interest from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal among others.

However, amid reports that United are preparing an £8m bid for his services, Wanyama has outlined his desire to stay in Glasgow until the end of the season.

"I can confirm to you that I will be at Celtic," Wanyama told the Daily Record. "We are playing well and our Champions League dream is on right now, so I am looking forward to the big game against Juventus.

"A lot has been said about my intended move but I have not given it much thought and even my manager feels I should play until the end of the season for Celtic.

"Then, from that point, the doors can be open for a move."

Wanyama joined the Bhoys from Belgian side Germinal Beerschot in 2011.
