Preview: Cesena vs. Napoli

Sports Mole previews Napoli's visit to strugglers Cesena in Serie A.

Napoli will be eager to get their Serie A campaign back on track on Tuesday evening when they travel to strugglers Cesena.

Rafael Benitez's side have slipped 12 points behind leaders Juventus in recent weeks after winning only one of their previous five games.

However, they landed a psychological blow on the champions in their last match before the winter break when they defeated Juve on penalties to clinch the Supercoppa Italiana.

While Napoli are battling away near the top of the standings, Cesena are hanging on for dear life at the other end thanks to a 15-game winless run.

Domenico Di Carlo's team occupy 19th place in the table, six points adrift of safety. Their solitary victory this season came on the opening weekend against fellow strugglers Parma.

Guido Marilungo and Francesco Renzetti are both missing for the hosts, but Gabriele Perico, Milan Djuric and Luigi Giorgi are among the players who could be back in contention following injury problems. Napoli have no new fitness issues heading into the contest.

Cesena:

Form in Serie A: LDLLLD
Form in all competitions: DLLLLD

Possible starting lineup: Leali; Capelli, Lucchini, Magnusson; Giorgi, Carbonero, Cascione, Ze Eduardo, Mazzotta; Defrel; Almeida

Napoli:

Form in Serie A: WDDDLW
Form in all competitions: DDWLWW

Possible starting lineup: Rafael; Maggio, Henrique, Britos, Ghoulam; David Lopez, Gargano; Callejon, Hamsik, Mertens; Zapata

Sports Mole says: 0-2
