Goals from Johnnie Jackson and Scott Wagstaff give Charlton Athletic a 2-0 lead over Blackpool at half time.

Charlton Athletic head in at half time with a comfortable 2-0 lead over Blackpool.

Blackpool had the better of the opening stages and kept possession well as Charlton struggled to impose themselves.

The home side soon found their way into the game and almost took the lead after Dale Stephens's corner was met by Matt Taylor, who saw his effort cleared off the line by Nathan Delfouneso.

The Addicks then took the lead after 23 minutes when Scott Wagstaff intercepted a clearance before passing to Chris Solly. The defender's deflected ball fell to Johnnie Jackson, who finished well to make it 1-0.

Charlton had an appeal for a penalty turned down after Wagstaff appeared to be tripped on the edge of the area.

Chris Powell's side doubled their lead in added time when Wagstaff put the ball into the back of the net after Yann Kermogant's header was saved.
