Charlton Athletic fans question owner Roland Duchatelet's approach

Charlton Athletic fans organise a public meeting to grill owner Roland Duchatelet on his approach to running the Championship club.

Charlton Athletic supporters have organised a public meeting later this evening to question owner Roland Duchatelet on his approach to running the club.

The Addicks have had four managers since Duchatelet took over a little over a year ago and currently sit 18th in the Championship, six points above the bottom three.

"The aim is to engage Roland in conversation and find out what is going on," Addicks fan Steve Clarke told BBC London 94.9.

"He rarely visits London or comes to The Valley and has resisted all attempts by us to have any dialogue."

Charlton supporters are largely concerned at Charlton being part of a network of clubs in Europe, with Duchatelet often using his other clubs to bring in players and head coaches.

Two of the outfit's last three bosses, Jose Riga and current head coach Guy Luzon, have both had spells in charge of Belgian club Standard Liege, which Duchatelet also owns.
