Chelsea's David Luiz declares that he will be fit for the Champions League final in Munich later this month.

Chelsea centre-back David Luiz has declared that he will get fit in time for the Champions League final in 13 days.

The Brazilian, who has been out of action since being forced off on a stretcher in Chelsea's FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham last month, is desperately needed by Blues boss Roberto Di Matteo as John Terry and Branislav Ivanovic are both suspended while Gary Cahill is unlikely to be fit in time.

"Every day, I have had treatment and am going through hard training so that, in Munich, I can play," said the 25-year-old.

"I am doing everything I can for this game. It is a dream [to play]. Not just my dream of course, but for all players in the world.

"I think my fitness will be good and I will be fit for Munich," he added.

Luiz is likely to be partnered by Jose Bosingwa in the heart of Chelsea's defence in the final at the Allianz Arena, the home stadium of opponents Bayern Munich.
