Teenage duo Bashir Humphreys and Lewis Hall both start for Chelsea versus Manchester City in the FA Cup third round.

Bashir Humphreys and Lewis Hall have both been handed starts for Chelsea versus Manchester City in the FA Cup third round.

While Hall has already made a number of outings for Chelsea, two of which have come versus Sunday's opponents, Humphreys is handed his senior debut at the Etihad Stadium.

Head coach Graham Potter has made a total of six alterations from the team which started Thursday's Premier League defeat to City, with Trevoh Chalobah also returning to the defence.

Jorginho has replaced Denis Zakaria in the middle of the pitch, while Conor Gallagher will line up in the most advanced role of the trio.

Mason Mount has also shaken off the knock which kept him out earlier in the week, with the playmaker seemingly lining up on the left flank.

Benoit Badiashile and David Datro Fofana, both of whom have completed transfers to Chelsea this week, could make their debuts from the substitutes' bench.

However, there is no place in the squad for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who was introduced as an early substitute and then withdrawn versus City.

Manchester City: Ortega; Walker, Akanji, Laporte, Gomez; Rodrigo, Bernardo, Palmer; Mahrez, Alvarez, Foden

Subs: Ederson, Phillips, Stones, Ake, Cancelo, Gundogan, Haaland, De Bruyne, Lewis

Chelsea: Arrizabalaga; Humphreys, Chalobah, Koulibaly, Hall; Jorginho, Kovacic; Ziyech, Gallagher, Mount; Havertz

Subs: Bettinelli, Azpilicueta, Badiashile, Cucurella, Thiago Silva, Chukwuemeka, Zakaria, Hutchinson, Fofana
