Chelsea injury, suspension list and return dates for Brentford: Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana updates

Sports Mole rounds up all of Chelsea's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash with Brentford.

Chelsea will look to claim back-to-back victories when they travel to the Gtech Community Stadium for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Brentford.

The Blues enjoyed success in Thursday's home clash against London rivals Tottenham Hotspur, with Enzo Fernandez's 50th-minute effort proving enough to seal a 1-0 victory.

That win took Chelsea's tally to 52 points from 30 matches, leaving them in fourth position in the race for Champions League qualification.

The home side will now be hoping to end their poor run of form on the road, having failed to win any of their previous seven Premier League away matches.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Chelsea's injury and suspension news ahead of Sunday's meeting with Brentford, who are in 11th place in the standings.

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Fofana featured in Chelsea's final two Premier League games before the international break following a lengthy spell on the sidelines. However, he was a notable absentee from Thursday's squad and has since been ruled out of Sunday's game.

Romeo Lavia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Unknown
Possible return date: Unknown

Lavia stepped up his return to fitness with a late substitute appearance against Arsenal on March 16. However, he was unable to take part in Thursday's contest following a setback in the latest episode of his Chelsea injury nightmare. The midfielder has since been ruled out of Sunday's game.

Omari Kellyman

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Kellyman is still waiting to make his first senior appearance since arriving from Aston Villa last summer. The 19-year-old returned to action for the Under-21 team following an extended spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem. Unfortunately for the youngster, he suffered a recurrence of the same injury and has now been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Marc Guiu

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 6 (vs. Brentford)

Guiu has been out of action since suffering an injury in Chelsea's 2-1 win over West Ham United on February 3. The forward has missed nine matches as a result, and it is unclear whether he is ready to return to first-team action.
