Chelsea star Eden Hazard 'suffered a bruise, likely to be fit this weekend'

Eden Hazard's hip injury is reportedly not as bad as first feared, meaning that he could be fit for Chelsea's game against Sunderland this weekend.

Chelsea star Eden Hazard could reportedly be fit to play in this weekend's Premier League match against Sunderland as his hip injury is not as bad as first feared.

Manager Jose Mourinho suggested that Hazard had suffered a "serious injury" because he decided to come off in Monday night's 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.

According to Belgian newspaper HLN, Hazard's hip contusion injury is minor and if he is comfortable enough to train this week, the 24-year-old should be involved at the weekend.

The Blues are still struggling in the top flight having lost nine games, which has placed them just one point above the relegation zone.
