John Terry eyes Chelsea return against Paris Saint-Germain

Chelsea captain John Terry marks his side's Champions League last-16 second leg with PSG as a potential date for his return from injury.

Chelsea captain John Terry has set his sights on his side's Champions League last-16 second leg with Paris Saint-Germain to make his return to the starting XI.

The 35-year-old was forced off with a hamstring injury during his side's 5-1 victory over Newcastle United last month and has missed the past four games as a result.

However, he has now revealed that he is on the verge of a return, and could even be involved for this weekend's Premier League meeting with Stoke City at Stamford Bridge.

"[PSG is] the target. I may be involved in some capacity at the weekend, but we're just taking it day by day. I had a good, positive day [on Thursday] but it could flare up so I'm just taking it slowly," he is quoted as saying by PA.

Terry also revealed that the Chelsea players want interim manager Guus Hiddink to stay at the club beyond the end of the current season.
