Jose Mourinho: 'Diego Costa could return against Arsenal'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho reveals that striker Diego Costa could return from a thigh injury in time for the game against Arsenal next weekend.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that striker Diego Costa is "progressing well" in his recovery from a thigh injury.

Costa suffered the problem against Stoke City two weeks ago, and although Mourinho has ruled the Spanish international out of Saturday's match with Manchester United, he has suggested that he could feature against Arsenal next weekend.

The 52-year-old told reporters: "He is progressing very well. I think he has a chance for next weekend against Arsenal.

"Our target was for Diego to play in the last four matches. Arsenal is the sixth match to the end so if he doesn't play Arsenal or Leicester, it is not a problem."

Costa has scored 19 goals in 35 games in all competitions this season.
