Chelsea will be looking to set a new record for successive away wins in London derbies when they face Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Chelsea head into Saturday's Premier League fixture with Brentford looking to set a new record for number of successive away wins in London derbies in England's top four divisions.

The Blues' primary focus will be on remaining at the top of the Premier League standings, a position which has been achieved through collecting 16 points from a possible 21.

However, Thomas Tuchel's side will also be looking to become the first league side to win seven consecutive times on the road in London derbies.

Each of their previous six victories have come during 2021, starting with a 1-0 triumph at neighbours Fulham on January 16.

Chelsea have already competed in two local away showdowns this season, prevailing at Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur without conceding a goal.

The clash with Bees on Saturday will mark the first league meeting between the clubs since 1947.
