Chelsea to subsidise fans' travel costs for Stoke City trip

Chelsea reduce ticket prices and pledge to provide coach transport for the club's Monday night fixture at Stoke City.

Chelsea have announced that they will subsidise travel costs for fans journeying to the team's Premier League clash at Stoke City on December 22.

The Blues have reduced ticket prices for the game by £10 and are operating coaches direct to the stadium that cost exactly that amount.

A return train ticket from London Euston to Stoke will also cost £10, meaning that rail travel has also been accounted for.

The Premier League has been criticised for scheduling matches on Monday evenings at grounds where it is impossible for away supporters to return home on public transport.

Chelsea will release further details about tickets for the Stoke clash on its website in the coming weeks.
