Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy believes that the Blues are in danger of missing out on a Champions League spot after a number of disappointing results.
The former Premier League champions have come under criticism after falling twelve points behind league leaders Manchester City following a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool yesterday.
"There are only four or five teams in the Premier League that have not kept a clean sheet at home this season and Chelsea are one of them," Cundy told talkSPORT.
"If you are going to challenge for trophies and the top four then you have to keep clean sheets and Chelsea defensively were a shambles. David Luiz is paid by Chelsea to defend, he is not paid to set up attacks and at the moment he cannot defend.
"You would be naïve to think with the way Chelsea are playing at the moment, the position they are in and the way Arsenal and Spurs are playing at the moment that Chelsea can finish in the top four."
The 42-year-old also believes that Blues owner Roman Abramovich may consider bringing back a former manager and advisor of the London club.
"I don't know what's happening at Chelsea where Abramovich is concerned, you may find that Guus Hiddink turns up at Stamford Bridge," he added. "[Hiddink] is out of work at the moment and he has worked with the owner before."
Meanwhile, Chelsea are focusing on their Champions League campaign with an away clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.
