Chelsea supporters have their say on Sports Mole regarding the decision to sack Roberto Di Matteo.

Chelsea are currently looking for their ninth manager under Roman Abramovich's ownership following the decision to sack Roberto Di Matteo earlier today.

The removal of Di Matteo has brought out a number of emotions from the Chelsea faithful, with most believing that the Italian has been harshly treated.

We asked for those supporters to get in touch either via email or on Twitter. Below is what some of them had to say:

"A disgraceful decision that unfortunately comes with little surprise. It's sad to know that Abramovich was pretty much just waiting until results took a small dip before sacking him. Di Matteo never stood a chance. I don't know who could replace him. The team needs time to develop and grow as there are a lack of leaders currently within the squad, bar the obvious experienced heads. Any new manager needs time, something the last one wasn't given."
Lee Wilson

"Di Matteo didn't deserve the sack. Only six months ago he created Chelsea history and with the signings he brought in, he deserved to see out the season. Guardiola should be the man to take his place. Chelsea have been after him for a long time and you only have to look at what he has accomplished to know he is the right man for the job."
Taylor Rowlands

"I think the decision to axe Di Matteo is a ridiculous decision carried out by the Chelsea board and a very short sighted one. I would love to see Guus Hiddink return but that is not going to happen. Hopefully the board won't go for Rafa Benitez as the team will only go downhill with him. My choice would be David Moyes as it about time he was given the chance to shine at a top four club."
Graham Clark

"As a Chelsea fan I am extremely disappointed that Roberto Di Matteo has been sacked. He led us to our first Champions League glory against all odds and he is a Chelsea legend - a fans' favourite. He wasn't given enough time to get the team playing well. I cant think of a better manager for us right now. Maybe the players have been the ones that have let us down recently?"
Marc Glen

"It is a bit sad. I thought he would be fired after Man City this Saturday but oh well Chelsea time is now!!! We want pep or the one!"
@NJUWAMAINA

"My initial reaction to the decision was one of complete shock. Bearing in mind Chelsea are still only four points behind Man City at the top of the table, sacking Di Matteo just seems a knee-jerk reaction to a few bad results. The club is crying out for stability and the only person I think Abramovich sees as a long-term solution is Pep Guardiola."
Michael Catling

"This endless sacking of managers is simply becoming embarrassing. If a Champions League and FA cup double isn't enough then what is? I would obviously love Jose Mourinho to come back, but with that looking unlikely at this stage of the season I think Pep Guardiola is the ideal candidate for the mighty Blues."
Ziad Podmore

"Harry for the job #NotRafa #cfc."
@AzizRazor

"Roman Abramovich has made the wrong decision to sack Roberto Di Matteo and he has sacked him at the wrong time. His dismissal has been widely criticised, and rightly so, but it is a decision that has been made without logic given Chelsea host Manchester City at the weekend.

"Maybe Abramovich will be looking for an instant reaction, but it is more likely that his ruthless demand for constant success has gotten the better of him once again.

"Who knows who is the right man for the job. In Abramovich's eyes, there is only one man for the job, but Pep Guardiola is unlikely to see the Chelsea managerial job as an attractive role any time in the future.

"There will be few complaints from me if Rafa Benitez is appointed as manager this week, but given the majority of Chelsea fans being against the idea, an unsuccessful start for the former Liverpool boss would see him under immediate pressure."
