Jussi Jaaskelainen believes that Bolton's squad can cope in the event of the possible departure of Gary Cahill in the transfer window.
It is looking likely that the England international will leave Bolton in January, with Chelsea seen as the favourites to land the defender.
However, Jaaskelainen has said that his side have enough to haul themselves clear, despite being rooted at the bottom of the table.
"It would be a massive blow to lose Gary," the Finnish goalkeeper told the Bolton News.
"[David] Wheater played well before he was suspended and we have to believe we have got good enough players to turn things around.
"I personally think the squad is strong enough as long as we stop those mistakes we have been making at the moment."
Bolton face Wolves at home on Saturday afternoon.
