Jose Mourinho: 'Ashley Cole's attitude is phenomenal'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho insists that Ashley Cole's attitude has been "phenomenal" during his time on the substitutes' bench.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has revealed that defender Ashley Cole will feature during the club's next three fixtures.

The Blues face Southampton, Sunderland and Stoke City in the space of seven days, and Mourinho has insisted that the England international's attitude has been "phenomenal" during his spell on the substitutes' bench for the past four matches.

The 50-year-old told reporters: "Ash will have the chance to play, and to show that he is fine.

"His attitude has always been phenomenal. He has the same attitude that he had when he trained with me for the first time.

"He went through a difficult period, but Azpilicueta is playing fantastic, and that is the main point."

Cole has featured 12 times for Chelsea this season.
