Jose Mourinho slams standard of Premier League officials

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho slams the performances of Premier League officials this season after his side's 1-1 draw with Burnley.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has slammed the standard of officiating in the Premier League this season.

The Blues manager refused to give his take on four incidents in his side's 1-1 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, despite Nemanja Matic's red card.

However, speaking to Sky Sports News on Sunday, Mourinho revealed his disappointment with the officials this term.

He said: "The [referees] are trying but they are not doing well. If the referee cannot see, some official in front of a screen cannot miss it. We want to protect the integrity of the game.

"I speak about these incidents week after week, because they happen week after week. My players are not getting the respect they deserve and it is too much."

Mourinho was fined £25,000 last month for suggesting that there was a campaign against his side after the 1-1 draw with Southampton back in December.
