Brendan Rodgers critical of "wild" Samuel Eto'o challenge

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers slams a "wild" challenge from Samuel Eto'o on Jordan Henderson as the Reds lose 2-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has criticised the "wild" nature of Samuel Eto'o's challenge on Jordan Henderson in the build-up to Liverpool's goal against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge this afternoon.

Eto'o appeared to have caught the English midfielder with a nasty tackle in the build-up to the Reds' opener, with Jose Mourinho's men going on to win the game 2-1.

"I know we scored from it, but that was a wild challenge where he's (Eto'o's) raked down his (Henderson's) knee and shin and didn't even get a yellow card," said Rodgers after the game, according to Four Four Two.

"He never even got booked for that, but he's a top referee Howard - he's a world-class referee."

The result sees Liverpool sitting in fifth position in the Premier League table.
