John Terry: Chelsea have ended years of "hurt"

Skipper John Terry speaks of his relief as Chelsea end a five-year wait for the Premier League title with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea captain John Terry has admitted that it has "hurt" seeing other teams win the Premier League over the last five years.

The Blues last lifted the trophy back in 2010, but a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace this afternoon has secured the club the title with three matches to spare.

Speaking during the celebrations, the skipper told Sky Sports News: "We've worked so hard this year to get over the line. It was a little bit nervy.

"I'm still fighting and I'm still in the side. More importantly, I've got great players and a great manager around me. It's been five years since we won it and that's hurt. We're going to enjoy today."

The Blues have now won the Premier League on three occasions under Jose Mourinho's management.
