Fernando Torres admits that he has suffered since his move from Liverpool but says that now is the time to enjoy the rewards of his hard work.

Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has declared that "things are getting better" following his hat-trick against Queens Park Rangers.

The Spaniard has endured a torrid time at Stamford Bridge since his £50m move from Liverpool, finding the net only 12 times in 39 games for the Blues.

However, the 28-year-old believes that his troubles are now behind him after adding to his midweek goal against Barcelona.

Torres reflected on his time in England and said that he is now reaping the rewards of his hard work.

"From my first day in English football, everything was really good and looking easy," Torres told BBC Sport. "I was scoring almost every day and things were very good.

"I have had one very difficult year here, going through a very a very difficult period of time, where things were not right.

"When you work hard - it's the only thing you can do - the rewards have to come, and it's time to enjoy now. Things are getting better."

Torres's hat-trick was his first since September 2009.
