How Chelsea could line up against Burnley

Ahead of Saturday's Premier League fixture between Burnley and Chelsea, Sports Mole looks at how the Blues could line up at Turf Moor.

Chelsea travel to Turf Moor to take on Burnley this weekend looking to record their fourth successive victory in the Premier League.

As a result of defeating Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton and Newcastle United, the Blues now sit in fourth place in the standings.

Frank Lampard's team extended their successful run in all competitions to six games on Wednesday night, courtesy of a 1-0 triumph over Ajax in the Champions League.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Chelsea may line up for Saturday's encounter with the Clarets.

Out: Andreas Christensen (hamstring), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles)
Doubtful: N'Golo Kante (groin), Ross Barkley (ankle), Antonio Rudiger (groin)

After making an impact off the bench in the Netherlands, both Christian Pulisic and Michy Batshuayi are pushing for starting roles in the final third.

However, while Tammy Abraham may retain his spot ahead of Batshuayi, Pulisic appears likely to take the spot of Callum Hudson-Odoi, who has played a lot of football since returning from an Achilles injury.

The rest of the team may remain the same, although both Reece James and Emerson Palmieri are in contention to start in the full-back areas.

While N'Golo Kante, Ross Barkley, and Antonio Rudiger appear close to featuring in the squad after injury, Lampard is unlikely to take any risks on either player this weekend.

Andreas Christensen is expected to spend another week on the sidelines due to a hamstring problem, with Ruben Loftus-Cheek not expected back until after the next international break in November.
