Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart will sit out this afternoon's Community Shield with a back injury.
Costel Pantilimon will deputise in Hart's place, while Argentines Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero will form the striking partnership for the Premier League champions at Villa Park.
Chelsea will hand a start to new signing Eden Hazard, who will play in a midfield which also includes Juan Mata.
