Christian Pulisic starts for Chelsea in Saturday's Premier League game with Everton, while N'Golo Kante returns to the squad for the first time since August.

Christian Pulisic has been handed a start for Chelsea in Saturday's Premier League game with Everton.

The United States international has been sidelined for much of 2023 with a knee injury sustained against Manchester City on January 5.

However, after making two substitute outings versus Borussia Dortmund and Leicester City, Pulisic is provided with a start in the showdown with the Toffees.

The inclusion of the attacker is one of two changes made by Graham Potter, the other seeing Benoit Badiashile handed an opportunity on the left-hand side of the back three.

Marc Cucurella and Mykhaylo Mudryk are the pair to drop down to the substitutes' bench, where they are joined by a returning N'Golo Kante.

Kante could make his first appearance since suffering a hamstring injury in August, and the Frenchman is preferred to Denis Zakaria.

Of those who are believed to be fit, David Datro Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lewis Hall are other notable names who do not make the squad.

Chelsea: Arrizabalaga; Fofana, Koulibaly, Badiashile; James, Fernandez, Kovacic, Chilwell; Pulisic, Havertz, Felix

Subs: Bettinelli, Chalobah, Cucurella, Chukwuemeka, Gallagher, Kante, Loftus-Cheek, Madueke, Mudryk

Everton: Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Tarkowski, Godfrey; Iwobi, Onana, Gueye, Doucoure, McNeil; Gray

Subs: Begovic, Holgate, Mina, Davies, Coady, Garner, Simms, Mykolenko, Maupay
