Denis Zakaria and Christian Pulisic have both retained their starting spots for Chelsea's Premier League fixture with Nottingham Forest.

With Mateo Kovacic and Hakim Ziyech returning after going deep with their respective nations at the World Cup, the Croatia midfielder and Morocco playmaker were in contention to replace Zakaria and Pulisic.

However, having made a positive impact during the 2-0 win over Bournemouth, the Swiss and American players are provided with another chance to impress by Graham Potter.

The Blues head coach has opted to make just the one alteration, replacing the injured Reece James with Cesar Azpilicueta at right-back.

Jorginho keeps his place in the centre of midfield, ensuring that Conor Gallagher is another player who has to make do with being named on the substitutes' bench alongside Kovacic and Ziyech.

Having contributed a goal and an assist versus the Cherries, Kai Havertz also retain his spot, resulting in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang starting another top-flight fixture among the replacements.

Like earlier this week, youngsters Lewis Hall and Omari Hutchinson are also selected on the bench, as is Carney Chukwuemeka.
