Besiktas have pulled out of a move to sign Chelsea striker Demba Ba, the Turkish club's director of football has revealed.
President of the Black Eagles, Fikret Orman, held discussions with Chelsea chief executive Ron Gourlay earlier this week over a move for the 29-year-old, but talks between the two sides broke down.
Onder Ozen, who is a director at Besiktas, is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: "Fikret Orman met twice with the CEO of Chelsea - however, a deal did not materialise. We are no longer interested in Ba."
Ba joined Chelsea from Newcastle in January 2013, going on to make 33 appearances for the Stamford Bridge outfit.
