Mark Bosnich: 'Petr Cech won't settle for Chelsea subs bench'

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich says that long-serving number one Petr Cech will leave the club unless he is guaranteed first-team football.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Mark Bosnich has insisted that Petr Cech will leave the club if he is forced to play second fiddle to Thibaut Courtois between the sticks.

The veteran stopper is expected to lose his place to the young Belgian next season, and Bosnich is convinced that he will seek first-team football elsewhere.

"Petr Cech has been fantastic in the ten years he's been at Chelsea," he told talkSPORT. "It's very difficult, for a man of his age, not to be playing though.

"Courtois is probably the best young goalkeeper in the world at the moment. Cech is 32 years of age, he won't be happy just being sat on the bench. He'll have to leave."

Cech has been linked with a move to Ligue 1, with Paris Saint-Germain and Monaco believed to be interested in signing him.
