Chelsea have reportedly hit further stumbling blocks in their attempt to sign Roma striker Edin Dzeko.
Over the past week, the Blues have been strongly linked with the Bosnia-Herzegovina international, who has previously played in the Premier League with Manchester City.
However, Roma have maintained that they have not reached an agreement with the Blues and according to Sky Sport Italia, Chelsea have been met with further problems.
The report claims that Chelsea are not prepared to meet the wage demands of the 31-year-old, who is said to be content with life at the Stadio Olimpico.
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has acknowledged that he would prefer to see another addition to his attacking ranks, with Arsenal forward Olivier Giroud another name to be linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge.
On Sunday, Conte suggested that Michy Batshuayi still has a future at the club, despite spending the majority of his 18-month spell at Chelsea on the bench.
