Chelsea keen on Lyon centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby?

Chelsea could potentially make a January transfer move for 20-year-old Lyon centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby, according to a report in the press.

Chelsea could reportedly turn their January transfer attention toward young Lyon centre-back Mouctar Diakhaby.

The France Under-21 international has impressed at the French outfit over the last year, leading to supposed interest from a number of leading European clubs, including the likes of both Manchester City and Juventus.

According to the Daily Mail, Blues boss Antonio Conte could move for the 20-year-old defender during the next transfer window as the Italian coach aims to bolster his side for potential title pushes on domestic and European fronts.

Several teams are thought to be keen on the youngster due to his ability in the air, which has been demonstrated in a number of performances in both Ligue 1 and the Europa League this term.

Diakhaby has been in Lyon's youth system since 2014 and has now made 24 appearances for the club's senior side having been promoted last year.
