Michael Emenalo has reportedly stepped down from his role as technical director at Chelsea.
Emenalo joined the Blues in 2007, and after four years with the club was promoted to the role of technical director.
The 52-year-old's responsibilities included heading the scouting and academy programs, but according to The Telegraph, a frustrating 2017 summer transfer window led to tension between Emenalo and head coach Antonio Conte.
The same report claims that the Nigerian has now decided to end his association with the Premier League champions after talks with club owner Roman Abramovich last week.
Chelsea moved to within one point of second-placed Manchester United in the Premier League table with a 1-0 win over the Red Devils on Sunday afternoon - a match that Emenalo watched from his usual position behind the dugout.
