Premier League duo Chelsea and Liverpool will battle for AS Monaco midfielder Khephren Thuram this summer, according to a report.

Premier League duo Chelsea and Liverpool are both reportedly in the running to sign AS Monaco midfielder Khephren Thuram in this summer's transfer window.

The 17-year-old has made two Champions League appearances for Monaco this term but is yet to sign a professional contract with the Ligue 1 outfit.

According to the Daily Mail, Juventus have been keeping a close eye on the teenager's development, but Chelsea and Liverpool are also very much in the race for the France youth international.

Khephren, who is the son of former Juventus, Barcelona and France defender Lilian Thuram, is yet to make a league appearance for the principality club this season.

Chelsea are currently preparing for the second leg of their Europa League knockout-round tie against Malmo on Thursday night, while Liverpool are next in action away to Manchester United in the league this weekend.
